About Us

Originating out of Queens, New York in 2001. Bassbot came about as a junglist sound crew composed of Music Producers, DJ’s, Artists & Activists who we’re widely supported and inspired by crews like Renegade Virus Sound System, Konkrete Jungle and Black Kat NYC. Over the years Bassbot had gained recognition for  putting events together like Revolution Junglist, a Jungle / Breakcore / Ragga Jungle weekly at Castle Heights in Queens, New York. Press Play, a series of Jungle parties at Karma Hooka Lounge in downtown Manhattan, New York. Sound Unity Project, a three day camp out on the Adirondack Mountains focused on exposing urban New York City youth to nature and electronic music and Strictly Jungle, a Jungle weekly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

In 2005 Bassbot Sound System began traveling aboard the infamous Bass Bus (a waste vegetable oil powered diesel school bus) throughout the United States, providing logistical support to local artist collectives and sound crews. Teaming up at times with crews like Other World,  5lowershop Sound System & S.P.A.Z. Sound System in the Bay Area of California to host local events.

In 2007 Bassbot Sound System teamed up with Reactionary in Portland Oregon to host amongst many events a series of outlaw parties at the Last Thursday Art Walk. Bassbot, Reactionary, Pan Zen  & Lo Viz we’re essential in breeding a dominant breakcore scene in area. At times participating in events as far north as Seattle, Washington and as far south as Asheville, Oregon. Having conquered Mt. Hood with sound and founding Konkrete Jungle PDX. Bassbot helped influence and flourish what has become a rich music culture in the Northwest.

As of 2009 Bassbot has worked with crews like Atlanta Dubstep and The Horrible Children in Atlanta G.A. to host a series of events. Using Atlanta as a launch pad to South America. Bassbot awaits its shipmen and arrival into South America to host Incatek 2012 Ecosystem Festival and to reside in Arequipa, Peru.
